Erica Hawker, 28, of Windsor, passed away at 4:26 a.m. on February 19, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.
Funeral services honoring her life will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Schilling Funeral Home, 1301 Charleston Avenue, Mattoon, IL, with Reverend Greg Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Creek Cemetery near Windsor, IL. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2013 at the funeral home.
Erica was born on April 19, 1984 in Mattoon, IL the daughter of Greg and Kelley (Ehrhart) Hennigh.
Survivors include the father of her children, Noah Hawker of Decatur, IL; two sons, Griffin Nicholas Hawker and Zander Reed Hawker; parents, Greg and Kelley Hennigh of Windsor; sister, Alexandra Kristine Hennigh of Oxford, PA; grandparents, Bill (Pat) Ehrhart of Neoga and Carolan Hennigh of Windsor; uncle, Wes (friend Peggy) Hennigh of Charleston, IL; four aunts, Teresa (Marvin) Warner of Pocohontas, IL; Lisa (Gerald) Mattingly of Chatham, IL; Beth (Barry) Williamson of Windsor, IL and Shelley (Phillip) Lovell of Neoga, IL; also surviving are numerous cousins.
Erica was preceded in death by grandparents Marguerite and Tom Hennigh; Horace and Lucille Doty; Ammon and Agnes O’Dell; Faye and Roy Webb; also, special cousin Tanner Williamson.
Erica was a graduate of Richland Community College. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching scary movies. Erica formerly attended Windsor Christian Church and was a member of the Broadway Christian Church in Mattoon, IL. Erica loved spending time with her sons and family. Her greatest joys in life were her two sons, Griffin and Zander.
